I am also working on this issue. In the past we have had a "Cadillac Dinner" for our Rotary Club. Because Cadillac is a brand name of the General Motors Corporation, we thought it would be appropriate to rename our signature fundraising event.
I think conspicuousgirl is on to something... I think 'Success Supper' has a nice ring to it? Other than that I like 'An Evening of Excellence' it really gets across the idea that they will be treated to a very special night.
I am trying to come up with a catchy name for a fundraiser benefiting a YMCA. It will include a special guest speaker and an exclusive dinner with this guest.
The guests I am trying to get include two Division 1 football coaches, a top college basketball coach or an NFL prospect. So the dinner/speech will be sports-related, and either football or basketball related. Most likely the speech will be called something like, "YMCA Open Doors Benefit featuring (insert name of guest)." But I'm stuck on a name for the exclusive dinner. The dinner will only be for the 100 or so top donors who want to pay $150 a ticket to dine with the guest of honor. It will be at a seperate location from the speech (which will be held in a high school gym).
Does anyone have any ideas? I have a few names that I'm brainstorming with: Up Close and Personal, etc.
For example: Lipscomb University's Athletic department is having a fundraiser featuring Tim Tebow. It's called "An Evening of Excellence," featuring an exclusive dinner with "Tim Tebow Unplugged."
