We haven't used it yet in our schooll but would like to introduce it. I have heard nothing but great reviews of the company and also understand the turn around time is quick.

I am the scrip coordinator for our PTO, and we have used GLScrip for 2 years. They are an incredible company, and I can't say enough about their quick turn-around, accuracy and helpful customer service. I heartily recommend them.

We only run one or two scrip sales per year, but it brings in about $3,000. The reason we run sales so infrequently is the distribution issue. We schedule our sales so that distribution will occur during Parent-Teacher Conferences (once in fall, once in spring), when most parents are at the school and can pick up their cards in person. We would never send home scrip with students.

Of course, some parents forget to pick up their orders at the conferences, so we tend to run around town to meet up on the soccer fields or at school shows, PTO family events, etc.

If we do not recognize the parent, we will ask for photo id. We always have parents verify the contents of their order, and they sign that they have received it in entirety, at the time of pick-up.

We have not had a problem with parents being unwilling to send in checks along with their order forms, via their children.

Thanks so much for your input. I'm glad this company is as good as it sounds! One thing we're struggling with is how to collect orders and then distribute the cards. We're thinking parents will not want to send money in with the kids and then not want the cards sent home with them. We're also wondering if they'd bother making that extra step to come in the school to order them. How do you do it? And again, thanks!

I'm the scrip coordinator at my son's school and can highly recommend Great Lake Scrip.

I've never had a backorder, never had an order arrive late, they are great with communicating with you via email to let you know if they've run out of a certain gift card, added new vendor, informing us of vendors who are withdrawing from the program and alerting us if a vendor may be going into bankruptcy so that we can alert our families to use those cards soon. They offer great support with informational articles as well as offering the option for families to directly order online via shopwithscrip.com and pay by having their checking accounts debited via Presto-Pay (both programs are directly linked to Great Lake Scrip.) If you use shopwithscrip.com, you can also run a variety of reports to help you manage your program such as how much of which gift cards you sold and how much a family has bought and what their orders have raised.

Strongly recommend you find and contact other scrip coordinators in your area to see how they run their programs and find out what does and doesn't work for them.

My sons middle school has had a great response with Great Lake Scrip. We are introducing it to our elementary school later this month. It has been easy to use, quick turnaround when you order and great tools on their website for promoting and launching in the school

Could anyone share any experiences good and bad they've had with this company? I'd also appreciate some advice on launching a scrip program in our school. Thanks so much!
