All these companies with a run or walk a thon are great for the 1st year , then you start to see a decline in money coming in because in this economy donating and not getting something back is not the way to go. Ask them for a list of referrals of schools that have used them more than 2 years...and you will see how small the list is just because of this exact reason.:)

They took less than Sally Foster took in the fall. Plus with Sally Foster (cookie dough) we had to unload, sort, wait for parents to pick up, find places for dough that was not picked up. Enter our own orders, fix all the problems, collect & count all the money... and SF got 60%!! Boosterthon does EVERYTHING and got 48%. (they even help count the money!!)

The teachers LOVED them coming into class and motivating the kids. It honestly took 5 minutes or less in each class (we walked with the Boosterthon Team everyday). The Principal and the Superintendant were in a class when the team was there and they were quite impressed with how they handle everything. If the timing isn't right for a teacher then the Team asks when is a good time and goes back.

It was great for us. We are looking forward to seeing them again next year! If you want me to send you pictures I'd be more than hapy to.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the response but how did you feel about them taking so much of your profit? How did the teachers feel about the classroom interrruption everyday?

We just finished using them a few weeks ago and all I can say is they rock! We did our own run/walk fundraisers the last few years, and this year we had no one step up to chair the event. Plus we were asked by the school board to stop asking the local businesses for so many donations, and since our run/walk prizes, t-shirts, water bottles and money raised was almost all local business donations we had our hands tied. With boosterthon they came in with a great message (teaching good character traits, positive reinforcement, lots of energy). They did everything, t-shirts, prizes, helping count money, set up, clean up... It was worth it for us. If you have any other questions you can send me a private message.

Would love to hear from anyone about a company called Boosterthon. They will come in and do your walk-a-thon for you. Reading different opinions in the internet. Has anyone ran this fundraiser. What are there thoughts. I have heard that several schools on my area won't let the company back in their doors but I can't verify it's just heresay.
