Fund raising with diverse socio-economic students.

Since there is a Fall cookie dough sale at your school, have you thought about a Spring chocolate sale? Two big Chocolate holidays in the Spring: Valentines Day and Easter.

Many chocolate companies have a deluxe chocolate program or Easter Bunny sale that can be done as a take order sale. Most items are priced around $5 each.

Good luck.

Check out The Sock Fundraising Company: Fundraising, Fashion, Athletic, Novelty Socks and Elementary School PTA PTO Fundraising

We do both, Believe in the fall and Socks in the spring, and have done great with both.

Thank you so much for your responses. Our PTA does not touch cookie dough sales because that is a big fund raiser for the safety patrol each Fall. We wouldn't compete with them on that one.

I'm still interested in other ideas. Thanks again.

Hi, I am a fundraising rep with QSP. I have found that schools with lower incomes (and higher free and reduced lunch rates) seem to have great success with chocolate bar sales and surprisingly with cookie dough sales. Search out a couple fundraising companies in your area and have their representatives present their ideas of how they can help your school.

Our school has a very diverse socio-economic group. We have had Fall catalog sales, Spring candy sales, etc. As we look into 'green' grocery bags we wonder if we aren't tapping into the wrong market. Maybe ecology isn't the priority when you are stretching the dollar to make ends meet. So, if you are on a strick budget, living week to week, what is the right fund raiser to inspire you to open your wallet?? Is it a grocery coupon since EVERYONE buys food? I'm not sure and looking for input. Any feedback is appreciated. I'd like to find something that reaches all economic levels.
