Hi! I just participated in a new fundraiser that I thought was absolutely amazing-A casino night, Our PTA raised $15,000 in one day! I dont know if you are in the NY/NJ area but the company we used is Fun Services-NJ. I jst got invited to their luncheon showcase for April 20th, 22nd, and the 27th in tinton falls, paterson and bridgewater, NJ. There number is 973 450 0300. Enjoy and good luck!

We just had a FUN RUN/JOG-A-THON. It is very easy. Send out donation envelopes (pledge per lap or flat donation.) If pledge is per lap, it will require some follow up with writing letters asking for payment. We handed out "jelly bracelets" to students every lap they made. It's incentive and the kids really lliked getting them and seeing them add up! We offered orange slices at the end of the run to the kids (we've had popsicles in past which is a big hit!)
We also delivered bottled water to the classrooms prior to the run so the kids can bring it with them. If there is only a few of you running it, separate by grade (K-3 and 4-5.)
You can go as easy or elaborate as you want. We had DJ there playing music, pumping up the kids and gave out t-shirts to every student who raised $20.00. We have prizes for the top 3 students.
Hope this helps!

My elementary school grades 1-5, with approx 225 students is loosing the three main PTO officers including President, Treasurer and VP. They have chosen not to have a fundraiser for the spring . They also have decided to leave a nearly empty checkbook to the next PTO since their 5th graders will be out of the school! :(
Some of the parents heard this and our very disappointed. There may not be enough funds to purchase the FREE AGENDAS handed out each year from the PTO. These agendas are a great help to parents and teachers as well as students which includes some special needs students.

Question WE NEED a fast easy spring fundraiser the few of us can organize and run so these children can have a good start the next schol year. Ideas for spring (now). Looking into a yard sale at the school too-not sure of laws. PLUS do not want to step on the outgoing PTO officers toes, but we feel they don't care about the school anymore......

Thank you for all your help!
