Also check your profile - the "viewing history" section. You can set the timeframe of what you want to see (i.e. how old). If you have this set to something like "2 days" then you won't see as many threads.
I keep mine at about 2 months.
Another issue I've noticed is that the threads aren't necessarily in timestamp order (since some of the bells and whistles had to be turned off due to the spam hits). So I'm more careful to scroll down the list and look at the "last post" timestamps.
I know our PTO Today hosts are working on it. Guarding against the cyber bad guys is a never ending battle.
Didn't know site was doing that. Expect it's another little quirk of the emergency adjustments we made 2 or 3 weeks ago in the face of the nasty spa* attack. Should be better by Tuesday.
Maybe your thinking when you first come onto the site you only see 1-2 posts, until you log in -- once you log in-- then you can see all the posts on each area-- at least that is the case with me-- I didn't remember seeing it like that before--- sometimes I would go through the posts and I wouldn't log unless I wanted to add a comment on one of the posts-- now I have to log on immediately to see all the posts...

Can you please clarify? We're not taking posts down and differently in past (all that comes down is ad posts, basically). Everything else is still up -- some 90,000+ messages.
I'm guessing maybe a configuration of yours changed, probably caused by our having to lock the boards down a bit to combat a spa* issue. You should be able to find everything and everything still, may just need to click an extra button or two.
We're actually releasing an update of the boards on Tuesday early AM that we expect to solve issues.
But to sum -- there's been no change in what's up. Just some issues with how things are displaying.
I have noticed a big drop in the number of threads allowed to stay posted on this site. It seems that ideas and info. are only on here for a couple of days before they are deleted. It isn't very helpful anymore. Old ideas are still good ones and many of us don't look at this site every day.
