We never done the dollar donation--- but we've done the penny wars and that was a lot of fun and included the kids--
I'm thinking about change for a cause-- and you can add on to any of these posts-- they are never to old to add on too.
Hello I am new on here so I hope this works. I was just appointed head of fund raising on our schools New PTO Bord. I am new to the school with only a first grader, I am just grasping what the schools needs are and what types of fundraisers to do .. I was also thinking of a dollar drive.. I was going to plan ours in march after all the holidays and a few ideas already in place for community involvement events. I figured that A letter sent home explaining once again about the PTO and what the donation meant .. ext. then asking each family to donate $1.00 and asking them if they could to try and match there dollar through there work or family and friends. the incentive would be a ice cream party for the class room with the most $1.00 raised. we however would only run ours for the first two weeks of the month. before another holiday hits.
I would also like to know if this has worked in the past or not?
Has anyone done the "Spare Dollar Fundraiser"? I found the idea on the File Exchange page here and was wondering how well it worked. I'm a new President and have been asked by several parents to look into options other than our traditional catalog fundraiser.
