Good Luck! Sounds like you are off to a great first year!

We just had our fair and auction Saturday. We had close to 300 items in the silent auction. We made over $6000.

I'm sure yours will be a great success!

I know it may be late for you to add anything else and all of the kid created things are great. We just had our auction last month and our highest bidded baskets were Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean and Webkinz. Also, a fire house tour gets the kids excited. The last 2 years girls have won this, so I gues both boys and girls like the fire station.

Good Luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Is going to be on April 20th in conjunction with a spaghetti dinner. I'm very nervous that we won't have a large attendance(we're p-2nd...250 kids). I've advertised on our local cable channel, local NBC Community Calendar, story in newspaper, signs all over town, many notes sent home. My fellow officers were afraid to have "too many" items so the following is a list of what we're going to have:

Preschool: 2009 calendar made with pictures done w/their hands
Beach blanket w/their hands making octupus
Beach bag with their fingers making fish
Cookie jar, painted cookies and used kids fingers to make
chocolate chips
Kindergarten: Wall hanging w/their handprints and they signed their name
Welcome mat w/ their feet prints in neon colors
Wooden wreath made out of each kids' handprints and painted
in school colors
First Grade: Photo Quilt (more like wall hanging)
Large Planter, kids painted stencils & signed names
Toy chest, kids signed their names and drew picture
Second Grade: Treasure chest, wooden keys w/kids names, jewels and
chocolate covered coins, etc.
Wooden American flag signed by the kids
Americana basket with each kids name in a star
Themed baskets: Beach Items, Disney Princesses, Bath & Body, Scrapbooking, Ohio State, Pet Supplies, Gardening, Grilling, New baby, Car wash, Spiderman
Donated Items: AVON basket, Mary Kay basket, floral centerpiece, WWE sent two tshirts, hats, and wristband sets, American Girl doll an book ($105), tray of pizza and movie rentals, tour of radio station making a radio spot, crocheted blankets, 2 baskets from hair salons, basket from local wine cellar, autographed CDs and pictures from Sara Evans
Services donated: Principal for a Day and Principal taking two kids to Science Center, Librarian going to a home and reading story in pjs, teacher and two kids to mini golf and McD's, teacher and 2 kids to Chuckie Cheese, teacher baking cookies w/ 2 kids in her home.

Please keep your fingers crossed that we do well....I'd like to raise at least $2500 which I know is nothing compared to what others make but for our first auction I'd be happy.
