Thank you for the link to putt for funds. We are considering doing it offsite at an actual mini golf course that would have 2-18 hole courses. Our goal would be to get the course donated or at a significantly reduced rate. I would like to run it like a regular golf tournament but on a mini golf course...where we would have hole in one prizes, hole sponsors, etc. We have made approx. $13,000 at our last two golf tournaments so this would need to be close in fundraising dollars.
Last year we did a miniature golf event through a company called Putt for Funds. I believe their website is
Putt For FUNds | Home Page
.
We did not make a lot of money doing this, but I think it has the potential. It is run like a jog a thon. The kids get sponsors, and then decorate the holes which are supplied by the company, and golf. If we did this again, we would hold it during the school day. I think there would have been much more participation. We did it on a Saturday, and didn't have a huge turn out.
Hi all...we have done a golf tournament in the past but wondered if anyone has ever done a miniature golf tournament? Looking for information on fees, how much you raised, did you have special games at certain holes, etc.
