Needing donations for student of the month

17 years 1 month ago #137902 by OneandOnly
Where does it state that the prize always has to be a material item? You can't have a special breakfast, luncheon or dinner every quarter for the winners and their parents? Give them a certificate and they will be honored to be recognized.
I think its a lot to ask from the PTO when the budget should be used to benefit the majority of the student population. The 720 or so students that win during the course of the year would take a huge chunk of money out of your budget and there's no guarantee that it will be different kids every month.

Doing it for my one and only ~~ my son!

Hi,
have you always done prizes? At our school we also have 2 student's of the month per classroom. Each month we have Breakfast with The principal. The students of the month as well as their parents come into school and have pastry, coffee, juice and french toast sticks then each child receives a nice certificate. The kids love it as well as the parents and they feel very special!

I am incharge of getting donations for our student of the month program this year. Does anyone know of any companies that participate in such programs or are very generous with monthly prizes. We have 36 classrooms and the teachers would like to give out 2 student of the month awards so we are talking about 72 prizes a month. If you would like you can email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Thank-you.
