Our first silent auction will be during the first week of April. I want to start planning now and assigning classrooms basket themes and doing crafts. Being this is the first year I'm going to have to educate everyone about what it is and how it works (I did a little of that yesterday at my first meeting). However, our fundraiser is a catalog which goes until September 18th. This is my first year as President and I don't want parents thinking I'm constantly hitting them up for something. Yet I don't want to wait too long and be rushed. When should I send home the letters explaining things with my requests for basket items?
