I am still waiting for a $177.00 refund for scripsd not received. The owner from Middleton does not answer emails, letters or phone calls. It is a scam. DO NOT use them or any scrip that does not allow you to use a charge card.
I have never used Scrip but it seems like a good idea. It could be done by a school district, for most of the merchants they list, without having to use Scrip in the middle.
It seems to me that you have to plan for most of the purchases because you have to order the certificate far enough in advance to receive it in time to make your purchase. What if the item was on sale and is no longer on sale?
My wife placed an order back in December 2009 for her grandparents and cousins, but the gift cards didn't come in time for Christmas. As a matter of fact, they didn't come at all. She tried a number of times to contact them for a status update, but no response. After multiple attempts, we went to the Better Business Bureau and they were unsuccessful. I tried to stop at their offices today and they are nowhere to be found. I found out who the owner of this company was Matt Frankey. I thought I would check his name out on CCAP and guess what...he lost a huge lawsuit by Summit Credit Union in February 2010 for a little less than $70K. I guess we now know where our money went. DON'T BUY FROM SIMPLIFIED SCRIPT!
Did a google search to find this thread. I just wanted to share that I am in Madison and went there on the 18th to ask why my mom hadn't received her order from Dec. 8. She got a refund check on the 18th, deposited it on the 22nd and it had bounced. I don't think we'll be seeing money from them. I am going to drive to their offices today, but I don't expect to find anyone.
