Hit up some resteraunts that use those huge bottles of mayo from the warehouse stores. Wash them out and you should be able to use them for your purpose. Then there's the water bottles that may not be reuseable. Check with a local water dealer (culligan) to see if there are any bottles that are unusable.
Our PTO will be kicking off a Pennies for the Playground campaign when school starts in August 2007. We would like to put a collection jar in each classroom (about 40 classrooms) where the students and teachers can place spare change to help raise money for some new playground equipment. Normally, we would just collect mayonnaise, peanut butter or other plastic jars, but we are short on time and were thinking of purchasing plastic containers of some sort to decorate for each classroom.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a resource for inexpensive plastic containers that would work for collection jars? (We will also be placing containers at various locations in the community so we will need larger containers for those locations).
We're all new to PTO this year ... so any help from those of you with experience is greatly appreciated!
