I would try pitching your local newspaper or other community publications. Email one of the editors with the subject line being "Local School Raises Money Brick By Brick" or something like that Then tell them the relevant information.
Could you put an add in your local community paper or even in the school newsletter to start getting the word out? Great idea doing the bricks I always like those.

What a neat idea! Any info on finding a company and pricing would be really helpful to us!
Our PTO wants to sponsor the building of an outdoor performance area at the teachers' request. Any input would be great!
We are in the process of doing the same fundraiser. So far, it has been going really well with a good response from parents and teachers. We are now going out to the community and buisness'. We ahve a walkway to fun and a pathway to education. The latter will be leading into the school, the prior of course, surrounding the playground.
If you are accepting purchases from the public or anyone that once attended your school, try asking your local paper to put a story or ad in the paper. It may help to further your marketing of the sale.
Our school created a tile wall made from tiles that were drawn & painted by past, present and future students of our school. Its beautiful! Our local paper put in a small item for us free of charge. Then they came and took pictures and did a story at the unveiling. Our boy scout troop did the labor, so it was a wonderful fundraiser. If it's in the paper, you can incorporate that into your letters.
I will see if I have any old memos we used and send them along.
Hi, we are doing a "build a pathway to the playground" brick campaign and I'm stuck on the letters to the town and area businesses announcing this and asking if anyone would like to purchase a commemorative brick. Does anyone have any sample letters or marketing materials that they used? The company we're using doesn't have any samples but they have the best price so I'm sticking with them. Any help would be appreciated.
