We do two fundraisers in the fall back to back usually candles which does very well and then something else to offer the parents some variety. Then for our holiday fundraiser we do one of our local chocolate company and wreaths and pointsettias. They usually bring in about $10,000 each maybe more. Our budget for the year is about $20,000 and then we have box tops, tyson labels for a little extra funds.

I am new to the PTO site, but I have a wonderful idea for a fundraiser. Soy candles are becoming very popular. With this fundraiser I know of, you can sell the candles for $10.00 each and $5.00 of that goes directly back to the school. I believe you might even be able to have custom labels made as well. If you might be interested, maybe try this as a secondary fundraiser, just to see how it goes. :)
If you are interested in learning more about this, please let me know and I will get you more information.

jurijeka, I agree with you. We have always been successful with Kathryn Beich. This year, we profited almost $11,000! That's the most we ever made. We've been using this company for years. Why mess with a good thing?

We've tried a variety of things but the most successful for us is Kathryn Beich. Basic "stuff" catalog in the fall. We brought in $6000 and that was thrown together to recoup loss from the scheduled Merchant Card fundraiser that someone else mentioned earlier. Still have 250 of those little cards. We're running Kathryn Beich again in the spring and then already have it scheduled for the fall. We figure, why try to be creative?

A school of 300 can potentially make over $9,000 in 30 days.

50% profit on each box, There are 12 boxes per case

Each box costs $2.00 and is sold for $3.00

If a child sells 1 box a day for 30 days, A school of 300 can make $9000, and the company gives prizes to the kids, AND IN ADDITION, THE COMPANY MAKES A DONATION TO A CHILDREN'S CHARITY OF THE SCHOOL'S CHOICE.
