I'd have to see the exact bylaws for that group, but I've never seen a set of PTA bylaws that would outlaw fundraising for a playground.
I have definitely seen groups *interpreting* bylaws to mean that or -- more often -- listening to folks who *say* the bylaws mean that, but I don't believe that to be the case.
I am a Co-President of an HSA at an elmentary school. We have a middle school within the same building that has a PTA, and they said their bylaws said that they can not help us fundraise for a playground. Is this true?
