After reading through some of the PTA/PTO discussions, I am not sure what our organization is. We our fund raisers with the school and maybe 2 we basically organize. There is no separate account for the "PTA/PTO. One of our sources of discontentment is the fact that we have to put in a request through the school to get money that we have raised.We have not met as a separate entity from the school. Our schools has meetings monthly and everything is dumped together. The kids put on a little program and the principal will give school information. After that time, if the PTA/PTO has any information to be given, the one of the officiers give the information.I think I am missing something,here. Can someone please clarify. What is the difference between the two other than the name?
