Hello also, This is my fist year being on the PTO Board. I jumped in and became
vice president. Have had nothing but fun. We have a great board. We also have good
attendance at our meetings. What makes our PTO board run smoothly is the fact that we all have the same feeling- Its for the kids. If a teacher asks money for a new chair NO!! If a teacher asks for money for supplies for an after school science club YES!! We generally vote yes if it benifits the students. We also spend money on teachers but its in the buget thats been around for alot of years. I am with a catholic school and we have many volunteers which helps out alot. One thing I like about joining the pto is you meet alot of people and make new freinds. Plus you keep busy.

Hi everyone,I want to introduce myself and say thanks for being here. I am the Pres. of our schools PTA and we are concidering lots of changes for the next year. The major one being we want to switch to PTO. Our school unfortunately does not have much participation wich makes it very hard to run an effective PTA. this was my first year at being really involved myself and I must say it has been a wonderful learning experience. I had alot of anxieties in the begining and sometimes I wonder about my decissions. I have so many questions and I want you all to know that it is great to be able to use this site to help me answer them. I am sure it will take me some time to figure out all the ins and outs but I know it will be worth it!!
