You need to contact your State PTA office to see what it states in the State PTA Bylaws in regard to changing your PTA affiliation. There may be other processes you need to take care of such as Federal/State/IRS paperwork, and the dispensing of PTA funds. However, your State PTA office should be able to walk you through the change process or direct you to the proper authority.
We are looking in to switching from a PTA organization to a PTO organization. Does anybody know the necessary legal steps we would need to take to facilitate the switch? Time frames of notification to the PTA? Registering as PTO? Thank you in advance for any advice you may have.
