Basically its the honor system with a log sheet, but even if there were a fancier system in place, there is no staff that would have capacity to ensure its followed.
The grounds have 24hr video surveillance and only one entrance/exit during school hours.

What policy (or practice) does your school have for signing in/out volunteers, helpers, parents throughout the day?

Our school has a sign-in sheet and we get a "tag" that we wear in the school so everyone know's we are signed in. Problem is that many forget to sign-out so it's not always know who is "really" in the building at any given time.

Some ideas we are considering in addition to signing in/out:
- Making copy of persons ID and returning it to them when they leave
- Holding ID until they leave
- Creating a school parent ID that they can leave in the office while there
- Other ideas?
