Cool movie clips, Momski. That's a very creative bunch! My nephew graduates from high school this year but I don't know if they've picked up on the 007 aspect. He hasn't said anything. I'm thinking about buying one of those cool t-shirts on the site you mention. He'd love it!

The theme for the all night grad party at our high school is "License to Thrill."

Well ---

the enterprizing seniors at our local high school have created a movie on YouTube. What will these kids think of next?? It's "007 - Diplomas are Forever"

Give it a look - it is very creative and they even talked the teachers into participating.

They are also selling 2007 merchandise on cafe press.

Maybe mix in some high tech looking stuff or areas (ie a Q station minus the guns and such) or something rleating to the cool cars Bond get to drive/smash/blowup... maybe a wall of pix with 007 nemesis with (captured/ at large/ deceased) maybe add some PTA or staff pix with Bondish names...

As for decorations OPULENCE and GRANDEUR... a baby grande or nice looking piano, white table clothes, wine glasses, sparkling lights or crystals, maybe a table with 'artifacts from missions'

Hmmm I see a lot of black and white and silver going on. Very cool, very chic...champagne flutes (plastic of course) for the punch..maybe a big chocolate fountain...ice sculptures (if you have anyone artistically inclinded. Stars from Christmas lights (even the dangling ones that are like icecycles around the top of the room). Silver strips at the doors to walk through. Silver balloons, "Up Lights" in front of big palm trees (donated for the evening). The other idea would go toward the Casino concept (since that is the only thing I remember about his persona other than the girls....
But rich living is the key in my idea...big colored rocks from walmart that look like saphires, diamonds and ruby's on the table centers with white pillar candles. Ice cycle lights around the tables. Maybe intermitent rose pedals...
So the decorating budget is how much...a silver/white balloon arch would be cool too for photos...d

Momski - I don't have anything for you right now, but I'm on a conference committee at work for an August 2007 conference that will have a 007/Bond theme. Like you - we'll be staying away from the gun/killing/violence themes.

Right now we're brainstorming the conference subtitle, based on old Bond movie titles.

It's an IT conference and the top contender for the moment is:

007: Technology is not Enough (from the movie title, "The World is Not Enough"). Of course it may still change.

We only meet monthly so much of the decorations part won't come up until late spring. But if anything does get mentioned before then that might help you - I'll post ideas.
