I'm an educator at a middle school in Florida. The school is wonderful; however, we have very little support. I was hoping to start a PTO to get more parents involved. We have almost 1000 students and only 1 parent on our SAC team. We're a very warm and welcoming school so I think the lack of involvement has to do with the fact that there's no PTO formed for parents to joined. I'd like to know what to do or where to get details on how to start the group. What's required to start? Do we fill out forms or charge fees? Anything would help.
