We had a program last year called PASTE - - Parents Assist Teachers. Twice a month (Wed. mornings) we would have a "coordinator" take the PASTE trunk over to the library and anyone who could would come and help (cut, color, paste, etc... any projects the teachers needed help with).
We did not have many people each time or if we did it was the same people. It was requested that somehow we make it so parents who cannot get up to the school can help. So we are trying to figure out some sort of "take home" system.
We would love to have some sort of "check out" system. Maybe some PASTE bags. But I have some questions:
1. Who takes the stuff to the office?
2. Who keeps track of who has what?
3. What about the bigger things that can't be sent home?
4. Do the teachers individually work with parents?
Maybe there is a better system? What are your thoughts and ideas on how to help the teachers with their lamination, coloring, cutting, stapling, projects, etc....?
