If you could send it again I would greatly
appreciate it.
We don't usually give welcome packets during the year, only in the beginning, but it does sound like a good idea (I'm going to mention this at our next meeting). In our packets, we give each student a folder or planner (depending on age), PTO calendar of tentative dates for meetings & events, some pages on the fundraisers & events (book fair, year end party, holiday sale) we have, a membership form, plus any extra papers the principal needs filled out (emergency numbers, internet permission slips, photo releases, etc.).

I was wondering if anyone out there could help me out. I just left a meeting with some of our reps from our districts PTO's/HSO's/PTG's Presidents. Our meeting was put together by two of our school social works/counselors who are trying to put together a welcome packet for new and existing parents/students to our district.
We want to make our new parents and students feel welcome to our schools (six elementary, two middle, one junior high and one high school) in our district. We have never done this before and could use some help from others out there that may have put together something like this at any level thru their PTO/PTG/HSO/PTA etc or school administration. I would appreciate anyhelp you could give me and the others. My e-mail is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
