We do Market Day at our school. It is alot of work, but rewarding. Do yourself a favor though if someone orders and doesn't pick up their order, make them prepay the next order.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
I just got home from our school board meeting, yes its 10pm, my husband is not speaking to me and he has let the kids trash the house but....the school board has voted to let us sell Market Day!!!
All we wanted was their approval to send home fliers with the kids and to use the school once a month. They turned down our request once before because they didnt want us to take business away from local grocery stores. Looks like persistance pays off. I just wanted to share my good news as only fellow PTOers would understand how happy I am! YEA!
