Here is the letter we are using for our Fun Fair. Hope it helps!!!
April 15, 2005
Dear Local Business:
Each year at (your school) we strive to provide activities that involve children and their parents. This year we are excited to announce our very first Fun Fair on May 20, 2005. Meister families will enjoy festival-like games and attractions.
The funds raised through this event will be used toward school improvements and programs that are much needed. (This includes new playground equipment, books for our library and more.) With over 300 hundred students grades K-6 we are constantly seeking ways to raise funds and improve our school. In order to do so, we need your help. At this time we are seeking monetary donations/sponsorships or other items that may be in the form of gift certificates, giveaways and silent auction items.
(Your school) parents not only patronize businesses in (your city), but also our surrounding areas. In return for your sponsorship of $50 per game, or $25 per joint sponsorship, we will post a sign recognizing your business at the game or attraction that you sponsored. Any other donation amounts are greatly appreciated as well. For questions regarding the Fun Fair you can call (conact person). Please consider making your donation by May 1, 2005. If you require our tax identification number we can provide that to you upon request. For other items such as giveaways, we will be happy to arrange pickup of those items.
If you would like to make a contribution, please make your check payable to(your orgainization). And mail to:
We thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
