Our board each received a gift from our principal and the two secretaries from one of our schools. It was a boxed set of a key fob and pen, silver with the school name and "You're the key to our success" imprinted. Very nice set and a big surprise.
No gift here either. I definately didn't expect one. Serendipity, I long to have a relationship with a principal like you have with yours. You can bet money if I knew of a principal like that in our district, I would have my kids there in a heartbeat!
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Our Principal gave us Christmas gifts. He is a very funny man and we have an awesome working relationship with him. He gave each of us a bottle of really nice wine.
I don't believe that it has ever been customary for the principal to do that at our school...I certainly wouldn't expect it either. We don't give him a gift either....we only bring in goodies for all the staff to eat during the holidays.
