It may be too late for an answer, I just joined today. But, our school last year had 80's day. It was a blast for me, because I was in high school and college in the 80's. They had a lot of fun with it. Also, we have camouflage day, IOB (inside out and backwards), beach, color wars. Color wars is where each class is assigned a color and they dress head to toe in that color. Last year my oldest had orange and I went to the sheriff's dept and got an orange inmate jumpsuit. She won the prize for her class! Hope this helps.
Our school included pajama day and 60's day. I remember a "take a plant to lunch" day when I was in school. I've also seen "baby day" where the kids dress like babies, but this was at the high school.
Banners or something would be an ideal reward. You'll want to stay away from the junk food rewards offered at less enlightened schools.
I am just curious as to what others may have done before with spirit week. We have done one thing a day for the week like crazy hair day, school t-shirt day, wear your clothes backwards day, hat and sunglasses day, etc...
I am looking for some new ideas. Has anyone else used something different?
Also has anyone done some type of classroom reward for the class with the most participation? I know that I have seen something before about a spirit stick for the class or a spirit banner????
