We have about $100 budgeted for Staff Appreciation and do four lunches a year. Our budgeted money goes to paper goods and bread and our families provide the food for the lunch according to the themes the coordinator has set..."You are Souper" (soup & salad), "We are Thankful" (traditional American Thanksgiving meal), "You are Sweet" (desserts and fruit), and "A Race to the Finish" (pasta and carbs). Some of the teachers have told me that they enjoy this so much more than a gift so maybe you could try something like this. Have a couple of door prizes to make it even more fun. Appreciation can be shown in so many ways and you don't have to have a huge budget amount! Good luck!
For a back to school gift, I picked up some cheap small insulated lunch bags (less than $1) and filled them with stickers, pens, pencils, stick-ees, etc. Some of the stuff I purchased in bulk but some I got from sales reps. A pharmaceutical sales rep and gave me all kind of pens, highlighters and stick-ees. I also threw in a few candy bars, chips, etc. Look for donations!!
For teacher appreciation, we had a luncheon and a small gift from bath & body along with a $10 gift certificate.
You have a small budget for such a large number of teachers so maybe parents can pitch in and make lunch for them and as I said look for donations from within your school parents so that your budget will s-t-r-e-t-c-h a little further.
I run our elementary school's staff appreciation. I wonder if anyone has any ideas on "gifts" I could give. We've done numerous candy poems, postits, pencils, etc. I have a budget of about $400 a year, & I try to do a back to school gift and a May appreciation gift. We have about 100 staff members. Any ideas??? Thanks!
