CrazyforPTO,
Can you give us suggestions on how to put together a gator w/ a luau theme? Last year to promote our spring carnival we borrowed a Sponge Bob and put a lae(?) around his neck and placed him in the center of the school. The students enjoyed him and he got them excited about the carnival. This year we would like to create our own but have no clue where to start. Hmm.My e-mail hasn't changed I guess it was being stubborn.
The Lions Club in our county sponsor the parade so they come up with the theme. I am sure they are getting a lot of flack for having the same theme as last year.
Our Mascot is a Black Hawk and we always have plenty of those to go around.
What if you did a replica of the freedom bell? I have done numerous floats for royaly, but never one for a school. I really enjoy doing them, as long as you have a good group to work with. If you need any advice or other suggestions, let me know!! This is right up my alley! I'll send you a picture of this past years float. It won the grand marshalls award. (Best over all) Is your theme alraedy set in stone? It think the hardest and most important things is really what your theme is. What is your school mascot?
I tried to email you the pictures, but your email must have changed.
The PTO fixes a school float for our county parade every year. (Very small town) This year the theme is "Let Freedom Ring" which is very similiar to last years theme when we had the "Statue of Liberty", patriotic banners, and kids singing patriotic songs. Does anyone else do this? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
