Well, we had our second meeting tonight and it wasn't a very good turn out. We are a brand new PTO in a small town and people are negative all ready because there was one 3 years ago and it failed. First, we can only have 2 fundraisers for the fall and two for the spring. We wanted to so a school shop where students can get school supplies as needed and I was told that would be consider a fundraiser. We also wanted to do a santa shop for the kids to buy presents and guess what another fundraiser. Every idea that I have is somehoe being shot down. We wanted to do a fall festivlle and that would be another fundraiser. Now I know why the other PTO failed. We can't do anything. Can anyone help me or give me any ideas on how to go around it? We wanted to do a school directory with phone#'s and addresses we were told its illegal. But what if we have permission from the parents to have that information? Does anyone know about that one? One more thing. The NPN if we join do we have to answer to them for everything or is it just them giving us information? PLEASE HELP!! Confused and very frustrated! :confused:
