Well, I hate to hear that because our troops need to hear from home now more than ever but I will just keep stamping away and send them when we can or drive down to our Air Force base and hope they take them.

Still checking into this. Does anyone know if there are any restrictions? Like should cards be in envelopes or just loose, but in one envelope?

I'm assuming they would be scanned, are staples or metals (glitter glue) prohibitive?

My mom flew in to see us last week and had some Harry Potter (foil) valentines in her luggage.

They couldn't see it thru the x-rays so her luggage was held up!!

Awesome Idea. Yes, we do have a refueling base near by.

Have you checked a local recruting office? Do you have a base nearby? I was thinking about the same idea but we have a Air Force base in Colorado Springs and another base in Fort Collins which are close by, hopefully we can take something to have them send over.

A couple of gals were going to have a stamping party and make cards to send over. We were going to just make cards mainly to let them know we are thinking of them and pray for a safe stay. If the kid just drew pictures for them, I remember my Uncle stationed in Germany loved getting our drawings when I was little.

Good luck with this.

I checked out the site and it's for e-mails only.

Anyone else out there know if we could send valentines? (it's probably too late for that) or patriotic cards?

Try this:

Operation Dear Abbey

You can send an email to service members in all the branches.
