It is awfully nice of you to say such a sweet thing Tina. Thank You. The California PTA is trying to trace back to when Mrs. Rabwin was prez. I'm just so curious about what 'mark' she left, what events and programs happened during her year as prez. She was a truely wonderful lady whom I greatly admired and whom my mother dearly loved. If I find out anything cool about her year as prez, I'll update this post.

I love gifts with a story and yours is the best to have that kind of history too!! Merry Christmas and you have more than "earned" the wonderful charm.

I just wanted to tell you about a wonderful Christmas gift I received this year. My mother used to work for Mrs. Marcella B. Rabwin. When Mrs. Rabwin passed, my mother received a lot of things that were hers. I had been collecting stuff from and about this woman for years. Who is she? Well, put her name into any search engine and you will find that Mrs. Rabwin was:
Married to Dr. Marcus Rabwin, Doctor to the Stars; She was David Selznicks Executive Assistant during the production of Gone With The Wind; She was Lucille Ball's best friend; She was a Hollywood Insider; She was an author; She was so many things. She was also, back in 1960, the PTA President in Hawthorne, CA. When she 'passed the gavel' to the next prez, they gave her a solid gold gavel charm with two stones, a ruby and an amethyst as a reminder of her year as prez. I was given this charm for Christmas.
