How about a WinterBall? It could be a family dance, Father/Daughter, Mother/Son, Mother/Daughter, etc. We had one last January, everyone got dressed up, we served cookies and juice, all donated by families. We decorated the gym with christmas lights, had a DJ, and a local photographer came and took pictures, for those who wanted to purchase them. (Just a note, most purchased pictures, how often does Daddy get to take his little girl out). Anyway it was a great success and the parents have asked for it to be repeated.
Help! I am new at this so I need the advice of experience! I am PTO Pres. this year, little parent/teacher involvement/support. BUT!!! Everyone wants a Schoolwide winter party. So, we have set the date, gathering ideas, etc. My main problem is what food to serve? What is easiest, econmical, but good?
This is our first event this year and I am trying to rally people up. SO far we had seen an improvement in attendance and volunteers over last year..which was almost nothing.SO, I am trying to plan (& pull off!) a succesful Winter Family Party. Please lend me your thoughts, ideas, suggestions.Thank YOu!!
