I've often found good tips, especially for working parents under BlueSuitMom.com Just last week there was a very intersting article about volunteering. I'm sure you can ask for an archive copy to be sent to you.
Our school district office has a handout that is sent home once a month about parenting tips and ideas. I'm not sure were they get it from but it's very informative- most of the time .
Our city has a Youth and Family Services Division that are most helpful with hand outs. We provide hand outs of community offered forums and speakers that deal with our youth so we publicize those meetings. We also obtain handouts dealing with the "theme" of the month. October is National Family Health Month (National Fire Prevention Week, Mental Illnes Awareness Week, Child Health Day, National School Lunch Week and National School Bus Safety Week are also in October) November is national Adoption Awareness Month (also has American Education Week, national Clidren's Book Week) and so on and so on. There is plenty out there we can offer parents. Since our main focus is advocating for our children we have handouts on the latest legislation affecting our children and schools and information on how to contact legislatures. We also provide handouts on the latest Health, Welfare and Safety issues facing our children and families. I use the PTA's Our Children Publication for more parenting tips. Best Wishes
Next year I would like to make available a different handout on parenting tips at varios PTA meetings. So far I have a handout on the ABC's of helping your child, and 10 ways to help your kids stay away from drugs. Does anyone have some ideas for this, or good web sites that have parenting tips? Does this seem like a good idea?
