First all (yes ALL) of our money is kept with the school's account per the the disrict. The skate partied we have are not a big deal and there were no restrictions put on that. We have taken the district's dress code and said we would rather have uniforms at our school (we are not far from Columbine,CO and MANY schools changed their dress codes, but we were the only in our district to go straight to uniforms. A member of the school district board serves on the school's board. Our President attends quarterly meetings with a representative from the school board to see what they can do for us and how we are doing as an organization. During elections, a rep came to our group to speak to us about a school bond to be voted on with pros and cons. We are very close to the school district office!

Our PTO did a softball tournament last year that was on the schools property. The only thing the school required us to do was that we had everyone that was participating to sign a insurance waiver so that the school would not be liable. They also required everyone to sign a paper that they would not bring alcohol or drugs on the premises. If this is going to be a on going process like having several dance classes or any kind of classes they probably will require you to have insurance. it would just be up to whatever your school board wants to do.

I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME WITH THIS ONE. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY GUIDELINES
SET BY YOUR DISTRICTS FOR PTG,PTO, PSA, ETC.

SOMETHING THAT MAY RELATE TO WHAT YOU CAN AND CAN NOT DO AT YOUR SCHOOL. EXAMPLE ROLLERSKATING,KARATE, GYMNASTICS,DANCES, AND SO ON. WHAT TYPE OF LIABILITY THAT YOU NEED TO HAVE. HOW MUCH INSURANCE YOU NEED TO HAVE. DO YOU HAVE TO RUN IT AS A FUNDRAISER AND IF SO HOW WOULD YOU GO ABOUT DOING THIS. WHAT TYPE OF INFORMATION HAS TO BE ON FILE ABOUT THE COMPANY THAT YOU MAY BE HIRING TO DO ONE OF THE ABOVE BY BOTH THE PTG AND THE DISTRICT OFFICE.

ANY INFORMATION THAT ANYONE MAY HAVE IN REGARDS TO THIS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

THANKS
