Our PTO has been talking about doing the same thing. Having a contest for the students to design the next years t-shirt and put the students name on the shirt, "designed by" and give him/her a shirt and a prize for being the "Winner of the contest" we just haven't decided on a prize yet. Any sugestions or comments would be great. Thanks
We are the OWLS and this year we used the slogan "Hoo... Hoo... Hoo's the Best? Akin Elementary!!!" with the graphics being a cute little owl and every grade (Pre-K ~ Fourth) mentioned. Last year we used puzzle pieces scattered around the t-shirt with the year, town, date, citizenship, Fairness, caring, respect, responsibility turstworthiness, owls, owlettes printed on the puzzle pieces with the slogan "Akin Elementary where every child is an important piece" It was so cute. Hope this helps I know how hard it is to come up with an idea.
this does not help with a slogan - but this year we did a t-shirt design contest - we had all the students interested submit a design - most were pictures with the school mascot etc... the one picked was very cute and everyone has gone crazy over it - so we plan to do a new one every year - it gets everyone involved and excited about it - and also get everyone to buy a new one every year..hopefully
How about something on a Survivor or Millionaire theme? "Who Wants to be a PTOaire" or soemthing like that. The other old stand-by this year is anything with the new Millennium.
