There are lots of non-public school funders out there, and some that have no interest in schools that are government funded.

you can also google elementary school grants, ot whatever specific thing you are interested in.
Thispast year we got a grant for a shade structure for our kindergarten playground from the dermatological association (to prevent skin cancer). We have gotten many grants for our school garden.

Does anyone have an advice on how to find and apply for grants?
