New to school

I love to give my little speech that children do better in school when their families are involved!

Ask the school office when the next group meeting is and attend. It's also a great way to meet some of the other parents. New volunteers are usually always welcomed with open arms (with us they are for sure :))!

Bless you for wanting to become involved in your daughter's school! At our school, we encourage our pre-k parent involvement just like we do with K-5 parents.

At your school, it is likely that there are several committee activities going on at any given time that would welcome additional volunteers. I suggest you contact your school's PTO President and express to her your interest in being part of the volunteer group. Ask for her guidance on what to do next.

Your daughter will love that her Mom is part of the "inner workings" at her school!

Hello! I am a young mother who's DD just started Pre-K at our local elementary school. I always remember my mother talkng about being a PTO mom. My questions are these, is it ok to join even if my DD is only in Pre-K? What can I expect? Should I attend all the meetings? Thank you in advance!
