I would hold an emergency meeting and brainstorm with the other concerned parents to organize your thoughts and feelings. Starting a petition might help as well. Good luck to you.
Our elementary school is being threatened with closure, amalgamation of several schools in a "super-elementary" school, and moving of the immersion program currently in a dual-track school to a single-track school quite some distance away.
After the board accepts the recommendations as presented by the school district, we will have a 60 day public consultation process before any closures would happen.
I'm looking for any tips for how to fight this, and, even more importantly, how to do so in such a way as to keep the parents of the school together, get everyone heard, and get people to work together.
