Did you ever get notes?

16 years 1 month ago #144276 by Ricedad
I went to a garage sale today looking for fishing gear. When I walked up, this little girl with short, blonde hair and crooked teeth grinned at me and asked, "Do you want to buy a muffin?"

My daughter is a little older, but I wish she wasn't, so of course I bought a muffin. They were oatmeal raisin, and surprisingly good. The kid also sold me a cup of coffee.

With the muffin she gave me a card and said to send it with my kids on the first day of school. It was a short note on plain paper, with a nice message about getting along with friends. I just sign at the bottom. The product is called Devotionables, and I'm going to buy the whole set.

Why hasn't anyone thought of this before? I never know how to get with my kids when they're at school. I think moms are better at that.

I think notes might be one of those things, like the tooth fairy and the super-hero cape that temporarily make us, for a few seconds, as valued as we want to be. Any opinions?
