While our school does not have a cafeteria, the PTO runs "Food Days" where we have outside vendors bringing in food for the children and PTO members serving them. To order the food, we have an online system where the parents can log on to and order food for each child during the food cycle. This program was started by a parent from another school in town as a service for his school but was then opened up to all in-town schools. It started out great but we are now running into problems with the system - mostly overcharging and an unwillingness to change any new procedures he comes up with. It use to be that we would only pay a fee for those parents who paid by credit card online but now we are charged 4.2% of the purchase price regardless of payment options. Does anyone know of a similiar on-line food ordering program or if there is any software to replicate something like this? I would love to start something online that just works for our school but I am unsure of how to go about doing it. Our PTO is missing out on 1,000's of dollars that could be used for programs for our children! Thanks!
