I agree with pals. Parents and guardians should want to help without getting something in return. You can do fun things at your PTO meetings to get parents hooked on attending.
What I have found is the 'bells and the whistles' will only help for one time, the people get what they want and then don't come back! How about just some good ole pto volunteering push...the 2 hour pledge from pto today was a huge success at our school last year, we had 47.5% of our parents volunteer two hours!
Positive attitude, having fun, feeling needed and wanted is what it all comes down to...have fun with it!

We would like to encourage our parents to join PTO. Does anyone have incentives that worked for their school? I am thinking a discount at an event, etc. Thanks FL
