I hope your summer is off to a great start! I wanted to let everyone know that the new PTO Manager enhancements are now up and running.
There is nothing that you need to do to access the new enhancements - they will automatically be a part of your program the next time you log in. That is one of the many great things about web based software!
Later this week you will receive an email (if you are the PTO Manager contact for your school) with specifics on all the enhancements. We will also make that information available in the HELP section of the program.
Here is a quick summary of the enhancements:
Mass Update Functionality - This is something that many folks have asked for this past year. This functionality allows you to easily make a certain group of volunteers inactive. It also lets you change the status, clear interests, and clear student-teacher-grade info for everyone (or a subset of folks) with just a few clicks. This functionality is VERY powerful so be careful. It can be found under the SETUP - USERS tab.
Ability to turn off all system emails - You now have the ability to turn off any of the automatic emails that go out from the system. This can be done under CONTENT MANAGER - EMAILS
Description field for events - When setting up events, you can now create a description for the event that your volunteers will see. Your volunteers will simply click on the event name and a full description will be visible to them. Volunteers will now be able to see much more information about your various events which hopefully will lead to more volunteers and fewer questions!
Hours more than field for searches - When searching for volunteers - you can now find volunteers based on those that have volunteered more than a certain number of hours. This is particularly helpful when looking for volunteers that have reached certain award levels.
Last login timestamp - This new field allows you to see the last time any of your users accessed PTO Manager. The benefit of this field is you can tell who has/has not updated their data for the year.
