Sure!
The Welcoming is where we have bags made up with local business information, a tag holder, pencils and some crayons! We give those to the new kids... then for the new teachers... there is a shirt with our school name on it as well as some supplies!
The hospitality is in charge of the Dec and May luncheons for the staff! We do a holiday one and a Teacher appreciation! They also hold our Annual Art show and work with the school Art teacher!
Both of these are great... we have heard nothing but praise about these programs!!!
I am not sure if this has ever been posted before. But our 5th graders have a themed fun night to celebrate their last year in elementary school. We try and have some special, fun things at this event. We wanted to take a picture of each child (single or with a group of their friends) and provide them with a keepsake photo at the end of the year in a frame. We were delighted to learn that many photographers will offer special deals for taking on the "job". We found one that will work our event (2.5 hours) and take pictures of the kids and provide either a 4x6 or 5x7 photo plus 2 or 4 wallets. Of course, it will come with an order form so parents can order extra copies of the picture. Which is great since I may want a copy of other pictures my son is in. His fee is only $300 which is not much more than what we were figuring it would cost parents to buy film and pay for processing of pictures that they took themselves.
I just wanted to offer this suggestion out to anyone that plans a special event at the end of the year for your graduates.
