We are a brand new school this year and are trying to get a PTSO up and running. Our student council did a book fundraiser before christmas (wraping paper, cookie dough, etc.). We (PTSO) planned on doing a carnival in the spring, but because of low numbers of volunteers and funds we decided to wait till next spring (2008). Now we are hearing rumors that student council is upset because they wanted to do a carnival and were told they couldn't becasue we were. I reliaze that both groups need to do fundraisers, but how do you find a balance between the groups?
