Save List To My Computer

18 years 9 months ago #126267 by Mike Schoen
Andrea,

When you save the list to your computer, choose the "save" option and not the "open" option. Save the file with a name and location that you can remember.

Next step is to open excel and then open files. You will want to see All files because the file saved from PTO Manager is a CSV file (comma delimited). When you open the file, you should be prompted as to what type of delimeter - and you should select "comma".

I know this sounds complicated, but for most computers, once you do it once, your computer remembers how to open a csv file. Feel free to call us at 800-557-2670 and we can walk you through it.

Good luck!

When I ask for the reports, they do not open Excel, so they get saved as an unedited word text document...no format.
UGH.

I am afraid to tell anyone but I do not know how to get Excel to open up when I try to save a report from PTO to my computer?

Any advice?

Hi All,

A quick heads up to PTO Manager users to make sure and check out the "Save List to My Computer" function when generating lists or reports. The lists can be opened up in excel and contain a lot more data than you see on the screens. Take a look - you might like what you see!
