Sounds like a great idea to get all of these groups together, especially since you are including PTAs, PTOs and everything in between without the agenda of one "switching" the other. I too would be interested in how this works out. I have an ideal picture when PTAs and PTOs can coexist and even, dare I say it, get along!
I would even suggest you send it to the State PTA office if you haven't already.
e-mail me on how it goes! This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
The date has been set and things are rolling for the first North Central Washington Parents group meeting!
Over 200 registration brochures will be sent out to schools in 4 counties this week. We have also expanded our invitation list to booster clubs, scout groups and anyone who raises funds for children. It will be a one day event and I have invited 25 fund-raising vendors to offer their products/services to these groups.
We have also arranged for a special guest from Brentwood, California to present on fund raising and facilitate the round table discussion.
I am very excited to offer this meeting and hope it will be at least a yearly event possibly traveling from school to school.
Currently there is no cost other than $5.00 for lunch. Our school has offered the cafeteria for the meeting and the speaker has offered to come for free. The vendors are thrilled NOT to have to pay for a space this time and it is being run by volunteers from our PTO.
If anyone from the North Central Washington area would like to attend please email me and I will get a brouchure out to you as soon as possible.
