i'm well northeast of sacramento, ca but that would be a great locale for me too. i could probably get at least 4 other schools besides our own to send at least 2 officers and maybe a few extraneous members. will be waiting!!!!!

I can just hear the groans from the folks in California and Florida and Atlanta and Seattle and Nashville and Virginia, etc. etc. who can't believe this post

Couple of thoughts:

1. All 3 of those hotels you mentioned are too small for our event. Massachusetts is probably the single most difficult region we've found for finding the right physical facility.

2. This year's event for Massachusetts is in Framingham, which is technically due west of Boston

3. As the son of two Rhode Islanders (and the husband of another!), I can say with confidence that we'd have to have an event in every town in Rhode Island in order to convince every Rhode Islander that our event is not too far away. That said, we actually do get a good crew of Rhode Islanders at our conferences and expect even more this year.

Lainie -- If you bring a crew up this year, I'll order you guys a special "we drove extra far cocktail" at our Friday evening reception. (Just remind me, OK?)

Hi Tim:
I know I shouldn't be complaining, you are coming to MA. However, all the shows have been north of Boston. How about a Southeastern, MA show, you may even be able to pick up a few groups from RI. A couple area hotels that may be able to accomodate are Holiday Inn-Randolph, Holiday Inn-Brockton, or maybe Sheraton-Mansfield.

As a Wisconsin cheese-head, I'm glad you're having the mid-west show in Chicago. With it's proximity to airports and major interstate highways, your turnout should be good.

I attended the 2003 show and came away with TONs of new ideas!!

I challenge all cheese-heads to put their Illinois/Wisconsin rivalry aside and attend this show. It's WORTH the time.
