I would love to participate in the PTO show but they would have to be a little closer then the previous one. How about the ST. Louis area?

Tim, I really like the idea of this sharing and having it in a central place, but just wondered if we might be starting a whole hodgepodge of topic discussions under this area. Is there a way to post them "read only" or closed here, but duplicate them under the specific topic area for further discussion? Or just wait and see if discussion happens and then move them?
My big problem will be limiting myself to ONE! I probably came back with at least TEN.

Me: Regarding parent involvement -- several folks mentioned that parents won't come to your meetings if your group appears to be solely about fundraising. It's a "what's in it for me?" sales idea. What's the public face of your group? Is it building community? Do you bring in speakers on key issues of interest to parents? Do you have events that have no fundraising element? Or do 7 out of 10 of your messages home involve fundraising? Interesting point.
